This story continues in the first story of Superman's Pal Jimmy Olsen #87.

Synopsis:
Jimmy Olsen is critically injured in an explosion. Superman is unable to help his pal, who has suffered brain damage. The Man of Steel plans to exile Jimmy into the Phantom Zone, until a cure can be found, but Brainiac arrives offering to help Olsen. Superman agrees to a truce and allows Brainiac to heal Jimmy. Unknown to the Man of Steel, Brainiac replaces Jimmy's brain with a computer mind which gives Brainiac control of Jimmy. Jimmy then becomes a sleeper agent working for Brainiac.
