Synopsis:
Lois joins the Peace Corps and travels to the jungles of South America. While teaching some native children, Lois meets Van Coyle, a man claiming to be a Interpol agent searching for jewel thief Stace Lorin.

Lois and Van witness the natives using luck charms given to them by the witch doctor Kiru to ward off danger. Van, who is really Stace Lorin, believes the magic and obtains one of the charms. He then plans to leave the jungle under its protection.

Superman then arrives to capture Stace. He had been disguised as the witch doctor and was responsible for the supposed magic. Stace gets lucky and fells Superman with some Kryptonite, then shoots Lois. Fortunately Superman is rescued by a native boy who removes the Kryptonite. Lois is also saved as the bullet struck a book in her pocket. Then Superman apprehends Lorin.
