Synopsis:
A frenchman, Count Henri D'Aubergnon, has come to America in search of a challenge. His goal is to track down and capture Jonah Hex. Jonah has been employed by Mr. Vanden to find his daughter. The girl was kidnapped by apaches.

As Jonah begins his search for the girl he reflects back on how his own father sold him into slavery to the apaches when he was just 13. After two years of living with the indians, Jonah saved the life of the indian chief and was freed from servitude. The indians then trained Jonah, and the chief treated him as a son.

The chief's real son Noh-Tante became jealous of Jonah's good fortune. When the both turned 16, they were told to steal horses from the enemy Kiowa tribe. Noh-Tante betrayed Jonah and left him behind to be killed.
