Synopsis:
While visiting an oriental bazaar, Supergirl meets Abdul, a magician. Abdul is bitten by a serpent. The poison kills him, but before he dies, he reveals that he is a demon. He gives Supergirl a ring that gave him his powers. A scroll that accompanies the ring explains that if the ring's magic is used three times, the user will become a demon.
When Supergirl returns home, she is forced to use the ring three times during emergencies. She soon becomes a demon and unwillingly performs evil acts.
Seeking to break the curse, Supergirl returns to the bazaar. She meets Abdul again, whom she believed was dead. Abdul has no memory of her or his past. Supergirl does find a missing piece of scroll which reveals that fire can cleanse the evil from her. Supergirl bathes in lava and flies through the sun, but neither has any effect. She then locates the Kryptonian firefalls which has been changed to Kryptonite. When she bathes in the falls, the curse is broken. The ring was destroyed by the heat.
