Synopsis:
Clark Kent inherits the magic items belonging to the late Presto the Magician. He uses the props as an alibi to cover for his super powers. However, he angers Perry White and is fired.
Clark takes the props to a talent agency seeking to become a stage magician. He foils a robbery using his super powers, but the talent agent thinks he used magic. Clark is then given a stage show in which he uses his powers to perform magic tricks.
After Jimmy gives Kent a favorable write-up in the Daily Planet, Perry fires him too. Jimmy then goes to work as Clark by pretending to be a mannequin. Crooks try to steal the mannequin after Clark makes it appear that it has super powers. They find out that it is Jimmy, but Clark then animates a Superman puppet.
The crooks steal the puppet in order to use its powers to retrieve a giant diamond. Superman then unmasks and reveals that he tricked the crooks in order to capture them. Perry offers Clark and Jimmy their old jobs back in exchange for the exclusive story.
