Synopsis:
The Metal Men appear at a stadium dedication ceremony while Doc Magnus investigates a meteor landing. The stadium is soon attacked by a giant robot named Torgola. The robot can read the thoughts of the Metal Men and consumes metal. Torgola also claims to have consumed Doc. The meteor that landed was actually the giant robot.
The Metal Men intentionally allow Torgola to consume them and are carried through space to the robot's homeworld Metalas 5. They find Doc and his girlfriend alive and well on the other side. They then meet Horbok, Torgola's creator who explains that the giant robot has gone rogue.
Horbok gives Doc a weapon to defeat Torgola then sends them back to Earth with another giant robot. The weapon fails, so Doc's girlfriend Dr. Garin returns to Metalas 5 for help. The Metal Men manage to defeat Torgola anyway when Lead fashions himself into a helmet that prevents the robot from reading their thoughts. Dr. Garin chooses to remain on Metalas 5 and is changed into a metal woman.
