Synopsis:
Jimmy Olsen receives several extravagant gifts for his birthday from an unknown source. A chauffeur offers to bring him to the mystery man who claims to be Mark Olsen, Jimmy's father. Jimmy believes that his father died years ago in a train accident, but this man appears to have items linking him to Jimmy.
Jimmy finally meets the man claiming to be his father. The man is a prisoner in a glass cage on the property of his own enormous estate. After speaking to his father privately, Jimmy agrees to take his father's place in the glass cage for one year. He uses his signal watch to summon Superman and explain his absence. The Man of Steel is curious about the crime that Mark Olsen committed that caused him to be imprisoned in the cage.
