Synopsis:
Lois Lane and Lana Lang appear together on a Gotham City television program. The host of the program shows them clips of their romances with Superman. This sparks a fight between the two girls. After the show, Lois calls to apologize. Lana gets into Lois's car. Then the car goes out of control and crashes into a river. Lois escapes.
When the car is pulled out of the river Lana's body is still inside. Lois has no recollection of Lana even being in the car. The police accuse her of murder. Batman offers to defend her in court, but the district attorney asks Superman to prosecute. He accepts because he thinks he will find evidence to exonerate Lois. However, by the time the trial begins, Superman has been unable to find proof that Lois is innocent.
