Synopsis:
Batman visits his friend Roger Birnam on his deathbed and promises to protect his wife Clorinda and son Enoch. Sometime later, a man who was at Roger's funeral turns up at the Gotham City morgue. Batman returns to Birnam's home. With the help of the Phantom Stranger, he learns that Clorinda is a member of a witches' coven. Enoch is an evil child. The witches target Batman, but he and the Stranger defeat them. Clorinda and Enoch are killed, presumedly by Roger's ghost. Batman also learns that Enoch had a good twin whom he promises to protect.
