W.W. Wiggins, the head of a game manufacturing company, has decided to make the boomerang the newest fad. He sets out to locate an expert to be his spokesman. "Digger" Harkness, a small time criminal, answers Wiggins ad and becomes Captain Boomerang.
While performing publicly in his new role, Boomerang is also using his boomerang’s to support a series of robberies. These crimes merit the involvement of the Flash. Flash having spotted a boomerang heist, trails the stolen loot and is led staight to Captain Boomerang.
Caught seemingly red-handed, Boomerang professes innocence. He takes Flash to meet his parents. After being vouched for by Boomerang’s parents and unable to find the loot on Boomerang, Flash is led to believe a Boomerang imposter is the perpetrator.
With the Flash off his trail, Boomerang continues his criminal acts. When Flash returns, the Captain is prepared with a trap for him. Captain Boomerang launches Flash into space on board a giant boomerang. Flash manages to get free just in time to save himself. He then rounds up Boomerang and his cohorts.
