"Year Two" Part 3

This story is continued from Detective Comics #576 and continues in Detective Comics #578.

Synopsis:
Batman joins forces with the underworld in order to defeat the Reaper. He is partnered with Joe Chill, the man who murdered his parents. Joe has orders to kill Batman once the Reaper has been dealt with. Batman has his own plans for Chill.

Working together, Chill and Batman set up a gang of drug dealers to be the Reaper's next target. The police led by Jim Gordon are also on the scene. Despite the trap that has been set, the Reaper is able to get into the building, kill the dealers, and escape. Chill tries to shoot the Reaper, but instead causes an explosion which destroys the warehouse. Batman is then forced to save Chill's life.
