This is the first appearance of Starfire, a female adversary of Supergirl. There is no connection between this Starfire and other characters who use the same name.

Synopsis:
Starfire, the leader of a criminal organization, dispatches one of her men, Derek, to test out a newly developed drug. Derek's mission is to gain the trust of Supergirl. He does so by staging a robbery near Stanhope where he is the victim. Supergirl comes to his rescue. He then begins courting her. Supergirl seems smitten with Derek, but she feels committed to her duties which leave little time for romance. While on a date, Derek slips the drug into her drink. After consuming it, Supergirl loses her powers. Starfire's men then appear to kill her.
