Synopsis:
While making a charity appearance at the Jerry Lewis Telethon, the Flash is blinded by a camera flash. Crooks then attack and try to kill him. A dog comes to his rescue and helps fight off the killers while the Flash recovers his eyesight. The crooks escape before the hero can identify them, and the dog runs away.
The following day the Flash reads that Lightning, the dog belonging to millionaire Philip Bentley has killed his master. Flash recognizes the dog as the one who helped him. Flash seeks to prove the dog's innocence by tracking down the gang that attacked him. He learns that Bentley's brother Lee framed the dog in order to inherit his brother's money. Lightning is cleared and awarded to Barry Allen as ordered in Bentley's will.
