Comments:
Superman displays the ability to twist his facial features in this story, allowing him to alter his physical appearance. Although he used this ability a few other times, it is not one of his powers. The use of it here should be considered apocryphal to the Superman canon.
Synopsis:
A tunnel working is killed during a digging operation. The killer dresses as a Snake. Superman goes undercover as a tunnel employee to expose the killer. While working another man is killed. Superman chases the killer, but he is accused of being the killer. However, he spots an identifying mark on the real killer, Bill Chanty. Chanty flees, taking Lois Lane as a hostage. Superman rescues her, and Chanty is killed by his own pet snake.
