Comments:
This story reveals that Wonder Woman received her Amazon bracelets at the age of 15.
Wonder Woman's bracelets are temporarily removed in this story, but she does not react wildly as normally occurs when the bracelets are taken off. She comments that the bracelets have been on so long that their imprint is enough to maintain the bond to Aphrodite's law.
Synopsis:
C.O. Lector, a millionaire, collects rare bracelets worn by women throughout history. He desires to possess Wonder Woman's bracelets, but he knows that she will not willingly part with them. He therefore arranges for a circus performer to play bullets and bracelets.
Wonder Woman attends the performance in which gunmen firing wax bullets aim at a girl's bracelets. The crowd is outraged by the phony, so Wonder Woman steps in to give them an authentic performance of bullets and bracelets. When she does, Lector and his men capture her.
Wonder Woman is brought back to Lector's collection room. Her bracelets are removed, and Lector himself attempts to play bullets and bracelets. Without Amazon agility, Wonder Woman knows that he will fail. She saves his life and retakes possession of the bracelets. She then fits Lector with a new set of bracelets, handcuffs.
