Synopsis:
Professor Nichols sends Bruce and Dick back in time to Camelot to discover the secret of Sir Hardi Le Noir. When they arrive, they protect Merlin's niece Aline from Sir Mordred and his men. Batman and Robin are then brought to King Arthur where Batman defeats Mordred in personal combat.

Batman, Robin, Lancelot, and Aline then try to rescue Merlin, who is a prisoner of Morgan Le Fay. Batman's modern science is thought to be wizardry, and he completes the mission, though Le Fay escapes. Afterwards, Arthur awards Batman a knighthood, naming him Sir Hardi Le Noir, the Bold Black Knight.
