The curator of the Gotham Museum buys a treasure map that once belonged to pirate Henry Morgan. When Bruce Wayne sees the map he recognizes his own handwriting on it. Bruce and Dick ask Professor Nichols to send them back in time to investigate the mystery.

Batman and Robin soon arrive in the past where they are taken prisoner by Morgan's pirates. Batman escapes and injures Morgan, but Robin is taken hostage forcing Batman to surrender.

Batman is then forced to draw a map to Morgan's treasure in Florida. Batman changes some of the numbers so that Morgan is never able to recover his treasure. When Bruce returns to his own time, the treasure is still where it was originally buried. The recovered treasure is then given to the museum.
