Synopsis:
Professor Doombie invents a formula that can miniaturize men. Using the formula on himself, Doombie is able to enter the Hartford estate and steal the Rubinoff emeralds. Dian Belmont is a guest of Hartford and discovers tiny footprints. She then calls the Sandman to help crack the case.

Dian remembers a claim made by Doombie a long time ago about making miniature people. The Sandman checks on Doombie and learns that he is the thief. However, while trying to capture the scientist, the Sandman is overpowered by henchmen. He and Dian are then reduced in size and trapped inside test tubes.

Doombie leaves the tiny couple imprisoned in his lab. The Sandman manages to knock over the test tubes and escape. Once he restores himself and Dian to normal size, he goes after Doombie. This time he prevails, and the thief is captured.
