Synopsis:
Swamp Thing encounters doubles of Alec and Linda Holland outside a small mining town in Vermont. The Hollands introduce Swamp Thing to Mayor Klochmann, the creator of the town. The Hollands and all the townspeople are robots built by Klochmann.
While Linda is showing Swamp Thing around, Matt Cable arrives in town on an assignment to investigate. Unknown to Matt, his dog has a hidden spy camera which transmits Matt's findings back to the Conclave. A team is dispatched to kidnap Klochmann.
Swamp Thing returns to the town square after the Conclave's soldiers have captured Matt and Abby. Swamp Thing battles the soldiers and their robot. Klochmann dies, and all of his creations are destroyed by the Conclave soldiers. With the town now devoid of life both real and artificial, Swamp Thing heads to Gotham City in search of Matt and Abby.
