Synopsis:
Sarge and Pooch go on patrol without Gunner. Pooch returns to camp carrying Sarge's dogtags. Gunner is then joined by combat photographer Miss Vicky as he follows Pooch on a rescue mission. Gunner tries to impress Vicky, but she is more impressed by Pooch.

Gunner finds Sarge held prisoner by the Japanese. While he leads the soldier away, Pooch bites through Sarge's bonds. Gunner is wounded, so Sarge is forced to carry him out. Vicky shows admiration for Sarge.

On the way back to camp, the soldiers are attacked by an enemy gunboat. Gunner, though wounded, manages to destroy the boat. His actions finally earn him the praise of Miss Vicky.
