Synopsis:
Gunner and Sarge return from patrol and are offered a chance to win a five-day pass. To win the competition, the marines must knock out enemy targets. Gunner and Sarge are given the last patrol and forced to remain on the beach while other marines go on patrol including the TNT Trio: Big Al, Little Al, and Charlie Cigar.

Sarge and Pooch are knocked out when a zero attacks the beach. Gunner shoots down the plane, but no one sees him do it. Sarge then takes out an enemy tank while Gunner and Pooch are swimming. Without witnesses, Gunner and Sarge cannot win the pass. Finally, a submarine attacks the beach. Gunner and Sarge are knocked senseless, but their fighting instincts take over. When the sub is destroyed, they don't remember destroying it. However, the other marines returning from fruitless patrols witness the fight. Gunner and Sarge win the pass.
