This story is continued from New Teen Titans #38.

Synopsis:
The Teen Titans and Infinity, Inc. battle an alien cluster creature in the slums of New York. Raven and Obsidian analyze a dormant chunk that Cyborg broke off from the creature and determine that electro-magnetism can harm the creature. The heroes create a giant magnet, but the creature knocks out Starfire and Jade.

Further analysis shows that micro-organisms in the East River can kill the clusters. The teams try to cover it with mud, but the creature uses Ultra's intelligence to escape the trap. Raven and Obsidian penetrate the body of the creature and find Ultra trapped inside. He is a prisoner and in pain. Raven tries to absorb the pain, but Obsidian uses a different tactic, forcing Ultra to confront his own evil. They break Ultra free leaving the creature mindless. The other Titans then dispatch the cluster creature and push it back into space.
