Synopsis:
Mon-El has been resurrected. After awakening on Shanghalla, Mon-El seeks out Shadow Lass on Talok VIII. She has been mourning Mon-El for five years and is thrilled to have him back. However, her husband delivers news of a threat from the Time Trapper.
Mon-El and Shadow Lass seek out Brainiac 5. He discovers evidence that the Time Trapper's brain waves are present in Mon-El's body along with a third pattern belonging to Eltro Gand, who once sacrificed his life to revive Mon-El. As Brainiac 5 prepares to separate the Time Trapper's essence from Mon-El's body, the Time Trapper manipulates Brainy's servant to attack. Mon-El disappears during the confusion.
Mon-El and the Time Trapper then face off directly. The Time Trapper explains that he created the Pocket Universe from which both Mon-El and Superboy were created. He did so to influence the creation of the Legion in an attempt to prevent Mordru from dominating the universe for a millennium. His plan worked too well, as the Legion one day rose to not only stop Mordru, but to be a threat to the Time Trapper himself.
The Time Trapper explains that if Mon-El succeeds in destroying him, his work will be undone. The Trapper will never exist, the Pocket Universe and thus the Legion will never come to be. Despite the history altering ramifications, Mon-El delivers the final blow to destroy the Time Trapper.
