Synopsis:
Brute Barstoe has discovered gold on an uninhabited island. To mine the gold he has tricked several college men into slavery. Many of he men have wives held prisoner on the island to ensure their cooperation. When one of the women tries to get a message off the island, Barstoe catches her. Before he can punish the woman, the slaver is attacked by the Black Orchid. She is forced to break off the attack in order to save the other prisoners.

Barstoe then brings the miners and their wives together. He threatens to shoot the women unless the Black Orchid gives herself up. One of the women runs into the jungle. A moment later the Black Orchid appears. She defeats Barstoe's men, but the villain holds the husband of the woman who ran at gunpoint. The woman then appears behind him and clubs him over the head.

The Black Orchid then leads the prisoners to Barstoe boat to escape the island. Barstoe then realizes that the Black Orchid had been disguised as one of his lieutenants, a woman named Carla.
