Synopsis:
Martian Manhunter saves Gypsy from Despero, but the villain attacks J'onn psychically. While the martian is impaired, Guy Gardner takes up the fight. He tosses Despero away from the fight and into Manhattan. The rest of the team joins him, but is easily defeated by Despero. Mister Miracle is apparently killed when Despero destroys the League's jet with him aboard. Elsewhere, J'onn regains his senses and prepares a strategy that he hopes will defeat Despero.
