Synopsis:
A thief steals Jonah's clothes and guns, then crosses the border into Mexico. Hex pursues only to discover that he has been lured into a trap by Colonel Sanchez of the Mexican army. Sanchez wants Hex to help guard a shipment of gold bound for Mexico City.

That night, the bandit leader El Papagayo confronts Hex in his hotel. He captures Jonah, then stakes him to the ground to die. Jonah is nearly eaten alive by ants. He is able to escape by tricking the man set to guard him. Once free, Jonah sets out to meet up with the gold shipment, unaware that he is being observed from afar by El Papagayo.
