Synopsis:
The ruthless James H. Thorben puts himself in danger, so that Superman must go into action to save him. Following the incident, Thorben is invited to join the Super Saved Club, a group of people saved by the Man of Steel. Thorben then manipulates the club members who are experts in their respective fields. He convinces them to mine for a new element which will be called Supermanium.

Clark Kent is a member of the club. He monitors the mining and helps prevent accidents by secretly acting as Superman. Once a sample of the ore is mined, Thorben steals it in an attempt to secure mineral rights for himself. Superman forces him to return to the group. The others offer the proceeds of the new material to the Man of Steel, but he instead donates it to the world for the betterment of mankind.
