Synopsis:
Sargon is approached by district attorney William Straight who once worked as a lawyer for Sargon's father. Straight tells Sargon about Mayor Hoggson, a corrupt politician who is troubling him. Sargon offers to help. He attends a banquet and uses his powers to publicly humiliate the mayor.
Seeking to get even, Hoggson orders one of his men to kill Sargon. The sorcerer is shot while performing onstage, but the doctors save his life. Sargon then uses the bullet to track down the shooter who blames Hoggson. Sargon then forces the Mayor to write a full confession about his illegal activities. After Hoggson is arrested, Straight thanks Sargon for his help.
