Synopsis:
The Warlord gains transport on a merchant vessel. When the ship is attacked by pirates, Morgan leads the crew into battle. An arrow strikes him in the shoulder, and he falls overboard. Alone in the water, Morgan eventually sinks into the deep.
He is found by Ligia, a magically green skinned woman who takes him to an undersea dome. Using magic she heals Morgan's injury. She is also an empath and feels this man's emotional pain. To help him she takes away his memory.
For a time, Morgan is happy in the undersea dome. He and Ligia live happily. However, Ligia senses that some part of him is missing. When she is attacked by mermen known as Piscines, Morgan immediately rushes to her defense. Combat restores his spirit. However, to protect Ligia, Morgan takes a spear directly to the chest.
Ligia possesses the magic to heal him. However, it will completely and permanently drain her of magic. She does so anyway. Morgan then washes up on shore. Without magic, Ligia transforms into the form of a porpoise unable to achieve human shape.
