Synopsis:
Travis Morgan and Scarhart enter the town of Bakwele looking for supplies. The town is under the control of the New Atlanteans, so Morgan tries to contact the black marketeer, known as Patch. He eventually finds her and also meets her son Avenel. The boy believes in a story of freedom he once heard from Aton, the former herald of the Warlord. Morgan eventually arranges a deal with Patch, but their meeting is interrupted by the arrival of soldiers. Patch leads the Warlord and her friends to safety, but Avenel is captured by the soldiers.
