Synopsis:
Fearing that her plot to turn super-heroes into sleeper agents will be exposed, Dr. Alysia Damalis uses a hypnotically implanted code word to turn Frances Kane into a super powered assassin named Magenta. Kane is sent to kill Thunder and Lightning after Lightning underwent a shortened session of hypnosis. Magenta is winning the fight until Thunder questions her about Damalis. Kane then breaks off the attack.
When she loses contact with Magenta, Damalis seeks out Albert Michaels. She wants to use the Atomic Skull to eliminate her problem. Instead she finds S.T.A.R. security chief Tony Rocco. The chief of security has uncovered Damalis's plan and sent the Skull to Belle Reve. Magenta arrives to kill Damalis, but Rocco deactivates her programming using a tape recorded version of Damalis's code words.
Before Damalis can face questioning about the organization she is working for, she activates another of her sleeper agents and escapes.
