Synopsis:
Following his battle with Shockwave, Booster Gold pursues the 1000 to rescue hostages Trixie Collins and Sarah Davis. Booster is led to warehouse that serves as a secret entrance to the 1000's underground facility. Along the way, he handles several trap designed to exhaust his power reserves. By the time he reaches Trixie and Sarah, only his flight ring is still operational. Booster gives the ring to Trixie, then goes after Senator Ballard, whom he learns is also a prisoner.
Booster find Senator Ballard and releases him only to discover that Ballard is actually the Director of the 1000. The Director has reprogrammed Skeets to attack Booster and succeeds in breaking the hero's arm. Despite his injuries Booster prevails. As a raging fire begins to engulf the facility, Booster is able to barely make it out alive with Skeets. The Director does not make it out and is presumed dead.
