Synopsis:
Midway City Museum explorer Paul Colby brings the legendary mask of Vulcan back home from Mount Olympus, but it affixes itself to him, and a repulsion/attraction ray-beam emanates from its forehead, battering Carter Hall before Colby is flown off by it. Hawkman and Hawkgirl follow Colby to Mount Olympus, and in the ensuing fight, the mask's robot body is uncovered in the mountains. The two parts are rejoined to form an indestructible juggernaut.

The rescued Colby tells them the legend that Vulcan halted this menace by immobilizing the giant, but that he does not know how this was done. Searching the giant's tomb, they find the mask's case and use it to enclose the mask once more, which stops the giant.

They take the mask back to the museum, where it goes on display for not more than 60 seconds each day, not enough to reanimate the giant's spirit.
