Comments:
This story is continued from Question #10.
Synopsis:
The Question infiltrates El Forteleza by disguising himself as an injured guard. Once inside he begins searching for Tot. Hector Gomez, has kidnapped Tot in order to complete work on a formula that will transform lead into gold using a particle accelerator. Gomez believes that in witnessing the process he will be transformed into a saint. Tot completes the work and the experiment begins.
The Question arrives after an explosion has destroyed the lab. He finds Tot alone in a catatonic state. He carries Tot outside, then passes out. When he regains consciousness, the Question is aboard a plane flying home with Tot. Over the next few weeks, Vic Sage cares for Tot until he regains his senses. News reports from Santa Prisca seem to indicate that Gomez's experiment was a success, as a mysterious individual has been seen helping people. The fort was also demolished and better housing for the poor has been erected in its place.
