This story is continued from Starman #28 and continues in Superman #50.
Synopsis:

Luthor is angry about the situation until Mxyzptlk informs him of Starman's impersonation. When a prison break led by Killgrave takes place on Stryker's Island, Starman arrives to stop it. He falls into a trap set by the convict and is knocked out. The real Superman dons a suit of armor created by Professor Hamilton. With the help of Guardian and Gangbuster, Superman enters the prison and goes after Killgrave. His armor is destroyed, but it protects him from the villain's weapon.
