Comments:
This story retells the origin of Blue Devil and is a post-Crisis adaptation of Blue Devil #1.
Synopsis:
Three children plan to watch a movie about Blue Devil. Cain interrupts the party and decides to show them the real story. He taps into the dreaming mind of Dan Cassidy and displays the images on the television screen.
While shooting a movie, Il Du Diable, stunt man and special effects wizard Dan Cassidy creates a mechanical devil suit for use in the film. Wayne Tarrant and Sharon Scott accidentally release the demon Nebiros from a temple used as the location for the film. Dan puts on the devil suit to battle the demon. During the battle the demon blasts him with energy which permanently bonds the suit to the man. Cassidy eventually forces Nebiros back through the portal to the netherworld, but he can no longer remove the devil suit.
Cassidy becomes Blue Devil, a super-hero, and weirdness magnet. After the show is over, Cassidy awakens from his dream and kicks Cain out of the house.
