Comments:
This story is continued from Doom Patrol #38 and continues in Doom Patrol #40.
Synopsis:
The Emissaries of the Orthodoxy bring Cliff and Jane to their homeworld where they meet the Anathematicians of the Cage. During the meeting the Ultraquist Geomancers send a smoke dog to attack. Cliff is ripped in half before the dog can be defeated. The Orthodoxy then prepares a response to the attack. Cliff's body is rebuilt giving him the legs of a spider.
Meanwhile, Rebis and Rhea are taken to the Shadow Cabinet by Huss where they learn more about the strange generational war.
