The Fear Machine, Part IX
This story is continued from Hellblazer #21.
Synopsis:
John is awakened after his encounter with the Terror-Thing by Zed. Although John has given up, Zed convinces him to fight. Zed explains that the God of All Gods, Jallakuntilliokan, is a creature of balance. The rogue freemason Webster is attempting to free only half the creature. To combat this half, Eddy leads the Freedom Mob and members of the Pagan Nation to destroy the stones which power the Terror-Thing. Mercury, Marj, Zed, and John stay behind. The women use female magic and John's body to create an egg containing the female half of Jallakuntilliokan. When the male half is released, the women set free their half from the egg. The two halves are joined in a union of spiritual upheaval. In the aftermath, balance is restored.
John is later picked up by a fishing boat and taken home.
