The Mud Pack Part Four

This story is continued from Detective Comics #606.

Synopsis:
Looker finds Batman is an old theater with his mind damaged by Basil Karlo. She uses her powers to help restore Batman to sanity. Batman then uses his detective skills to determine that Karlo double-crossed his partners. Batman and Looker split up to find Karlo, who is using blood samples from both the other Clayface's to transform himself. He succeeds and gains the shape-shifting powers of Lady Clayface along with the death-touch of Preston Payne.

Batman finds Karlo first and engages him in battle. Looker soon joins the fight. She is able to use her powers to overload Karlo's burning power inherited from Payne. He burns through the Earth itself and disappears below the surface. Meanwhile, Lady Clayface and Preston Payne have found love in one another and have left Gotham.
