After accidentally riding a horse backwards, Scribbly is entered in a rodeo by the employees at a dude ranch. Scribbly's boss promotes the event in the newspaper. When Scribbly's mother sees the annoucement, she drives to the rodeo to stop it. Mrs. Jibbet arrives too late and Scribbly is put on a wild horse backwards. Purely by accident, Scribbly stays on the horse and tires it out. He wins the rodeo and a scolding from his mother.
