Synopsis:
Orion and Jovita continue the journey to find Tiggra, Orion's mother. They are soon joined by Lightray. Kalibak secretly observes them. It was he that arranged for Orion to find his way to Section Zero. However, when Orion finally does come face-to-face with Tiggra, he is disappointed. Tiggra does not want rescue. She knows that no matter where her body is, Darkseid still controls her. She also points out to Orion that he is more like his father than he wants to admit.
Kalibak is pleased. He wanted to reunite Tiggra and Orion because he knew it would end badly for his half-brother. When DeSaad catches him spying and threatens to tell Darkseid, Kalibak kills him. Darkseid was aware of Kalibak's duplicity all along and kills his own son. However, Darkseid concedes that he will likely resurrect both of them.
Meanwhile on New Genesis, the population reaffirms Highfather as their leader. They cast aside the Commander's platform to fight Darkseid directly. Elsewhere, Metron watches as the old gods slowly regain some of their lost power.
