Swamp Thing obtains government files which indicate Lex Luthor was involved in the attempt to kill Swamp Thing in Gotham City. Swamp Thing heads for Metropolis to seek his revenge. Lex Corp headquarters has automated defenses which prevent Swamp Thing from entering the building. Superman also stops Swamp Thing's attempts to penetrate the building. Eventually Swamp Thing and Superman discuss the matter. Superman requires more proof than the Swamp Thing can provide against Luthor, but the elemental feels that human laws have no standing in the plant kingdom. Despite this, Swamp Thing agrees to leave Luthor for Superman to deal with.
