Synopsis:
Superman begins having hallucinations that cause him to botch rescues. Jimmy Olsen convinces Superman to see a doctor, who tells the Man of Steel he has Opticitis. The doctor also tells Superman that it is contagious. Jimmy has a hallucination himself, so he believes that he is affected too.
When Superman and Jimmy witness a crime by men in a flying saucer, they dismiss it as an illusion. Later Superman realizes that the crooks are real. He returns and captures them. Then he explains to Jimmy that the doctor was a phony and working with the crooks. Superman's original hallucinations were caused by a malfunction of Jimmy's signal watch which affected Superman's super-vision. The Man of Steel corrects the watch and turns in the crooks.
