Synopsis:
Ten members of Ray Palmer's graduating class return to Ivy University, bringing with them objects associated with their new professions. One graduate, Jack Archer, is missing, but he sends a letter boasting that he will steal the other nine objects.

The campus guards try to stop Archer when he shows up, but the crook eludes capture. He returns later, this time besting the Atom. After the scuffle, Atom suspects a trick and discovers the objects were not stolen. A hypnotic illusion was created to make Archer appear, and the objects to disappear.

Atom finds the source of the device in a Hindu idol. He plants his own hypnotic message in the mind of the crook, allowing him to expose and capture Archer. Archer had disguised himself as Bill Trevor, another classmate, and brought in the idol. The whereabouts of the real Bill Trevor are left unsolved.
