Synopsis:
Professor Hyatt recovers the base of a crystal ball from 19th century France. He believes the crystal ball once belonged to the famous prophet Nostradamus.

Atom takes a return trip in the Time Pool to the period from which the base was recovered. He witnesses author Jules Verne being attacked by thieves. Atom defeats the crooks and learns the crystal ball belongs to Verne. Atom prevents more thieves from stealing one of Verne's manuscripts. He then returns to the present after learning that Verne was never able to make the crystal ball function.
