Synopsis:
Superman’s super-vision spots a girl in danger on a Mediterranean island. He rescues her and learns she is a descendant of the legendary sorceress Circe. As reward she gives Superman a drink of some mineral water. Enamored by Superman, Circe tries to make him marry her. He refuses. She has put an evolution serum in his drink which will transform him into an animal unless he agrees to marry her.

The next day at work, Superman is transformed into a lion. His friends cover for him, but he is distressed by the situation. Circe has left the planet, and he is stuck in this form. He manages to perform his super deeds, secretly helping people, but never showing them his lion features.

When Superman returns to his Fortress, he realizes that the serum contained kryptonite. He hypothesizes that the original Circe must have been from Krypton. He finds the antidote in a book in the Kandorian library which changes him back to normal.
