Synopsis:
Brainiac returns to Earth to steal aluminum which is valuable on another world. When Superman arrives to stop him, Brainiac protects himself with a force field and then exposes Superman to Red-Green Kryptonite which is a combination of the two standard kinds.

The new Kryptonite causes Superman to grow a third eye on the back of his head. Fearing the new disfigurement could expose his secret identity, Superman leads the public to believe the mineral gave him the impulse to wear different hats and act differently. When Brainiac returns, Superman uses heat vision which has more power due to the third eye to penetrate the force field and defeat his foe.
