Synopsis:
Jim Corrigan rescues Nancy Fenton, daughter of famous scientist James Fenton. When he visits the Fenton home, Corrigan is thrown out by the suspicious professor. Fenton is closely guarding his latest experiment, the disembodied brain of Dexter, a former pupil.

When a crime wave strikes Cliffland, the Spectre follows the trail which leads to the Fenton home. The crooks are being directed by the brain, while the Fenton's have been taken prisoner. The Spectre battles the evil brain and eventually triumphs over it. Professor Fenton is killed during the battle.
