Synopsis:
Lois Lane is sent to investigate an electric disturbance near Swasey Swamp while Clark is sent to check on Lamson Laboratories which has received several threats. When Lois arrives at the swamp, only a man named Tom Jepson will take her into the swamp. They find a meteor there, and Lois is kidnapped by Jepson and some men clad in metal masks.
Clark is shot at by a plane as he visits Lamson at his lab. More metal-clad men appear and force Lamson to turn over the formula for W-142, a powerful new energy source. Superman stops the men and learns from Krawl, Lamson’s assistant and crook, that Lois has been captured.
Superman races to the swamp where he encounters the boss of the operation. The scientist uses a magnetic force against the Man of Steel, but Superman rescues Lois, and the crook is crushed in the carnage. Superman brings in Jepson and turns in the story as Clark Kent.
