Synopsis:
Farmer Hiram Spiezel uncovers a mysterious jar on his farm. When he opens the jar an anicent entity is released which then takes control of Spiezel. Possessed, Spiezel begins a business empire by profiting on the misery of others. The Spectre tries to influence Spiezel, but finds that his powers do not work.

Spectre is forced to deal with Spiezel indirectly by stopping his business schemes. Spiezel eventually realizes that someone is interfering and discovers that Spectre is involved.

The Spectre then combats the entity possessing Spiezel on the spirit plane. He succeeds in trapping the entity back inside the jar. He then buries the jar on the ocean floor to prevent his escape. Spiezel, free of the entity, gives up his business and returns to the farm.
